I am a Certified Healthcare Musician, sometimes also called a therapeutic musician or a harp therapist. I am also a Certified Breath Coach and Certified Meditation Teacher. I offer live music (in-person or Zoom), specializing in slow Irish tunes that can reflect a listener’s state of mind and reach places sometimes hard to find. The music lets us acknowledge and experience our unspoken stories, the things we don’t easily express in words. The intent of a session is to accompany listeners on their journey, to help them find a calm space where the mind can begin to create a story of well-being instead of a story of distress.
What I Offer
I offer therapeutic harp music in a variety of community spaces and in hospital, hospice, private home or studio. While harp therapy is often about playing at the bedside in medical settings, the techniques can be applied in many other circumstances.
Using the techniques of harp therapy lets me enhance Sacred Beats healing sound sessions, Sacred Sircus events, St Norbert Arts Centre seasonal ceremonies, Aurora Farm classes and gatherings, public library family storytimes, private and group harp lessons, and even weddings and artisan markets!
I prepare for each session, whether private or shared, with a general meditation (I love Headspace as a foundation!) followed by a client-focused meditation with my harp. This allows me to find and release any blocks within myself and to choose music that best supports and accompanies the listener’s journey.
Send me a message on Facebook or the About Me page if you have questions, requests, or suggestions!
